Practical Steps to See God’s Face for Believers

The human spirit craves connection. As Believers, we yearn to see, to know, and to experience God’s divine presence in a tangible, profound and personal way. The Bible, the cornerstone of our Christian faith, offers a breathtaking promise: for those who faithfully follow The Lord Jesus Christ, this innate longing will be fulfilled — they shall see God face to face.

“He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: For he will render unto man his righteousness.” –Job 33:26 KJV

But how do we, as finite beings, prepare for such an extraordinary encounter? The Bible lays out a clear path, a roadmap for cultivating the spiritual sight necessary to stand in the presence of God’s infinite glory.

The Transformation: Becoming Fit for God’s Presence

The Bible offers a solution: divine transformation. As we daily dedicate ourselves to Christ, the Holy Spirit progressively molds us into His image. Our spiritual vision, gradually purified, enables us to finally receive from God with increasing clarity.

The Mirror and the Reflection: Progressive Revelation

Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Corinthians, uses a powerful metaphor. He describes our initial understanding of God as gazing into a mirror, where the image is unclear. However, with each passing day of faithful living, following Christ’s examples every single day, this reflection becomes sharper. Our knowledge of God gradually deepens, and our capacity to experience His divine presence expands. This disciplined daily process, rooted in faith, culminates in the glorious day when the veil is lifted, and we see Him “face to face.”

Cultivating the Inner Eye: Practices for Spiritual Growth

So, how do we actively participate in this transformative process? The Bible provides practical guidance:

Daily Devotion to Prayer and Worship: Pray and Worship Him every single day…
